How to Fall in Love by Christmas

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days meets Never Been Kissed

Teri Hatcher 1/2 so far this season after the much better Christmas at the Chalet. Notably, neither of these is a Hallmark movie, but they air on W in Canada so they get included.

And this is the third movie reviewed so far to include Dan Payne, after his supporting roles in Christmas at the Chalet and Must Love Christmas. His portfolio is… inconsistent.

Nora is the founder of a Goop-esque lifestyle brand who - in a very questionable suggestion by the Board of Directors - joins a dating app a la How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, except she needs to fall in love. Jack is the freelance photographer hired to document her journey to find love and, wouldn’t you know it, they both find it… with each other.

This was not all that engaging overall. I think the only bright spot (warming this cold MBA’s heart) was the mention of a SWOT analysis in a Christmas TV movie. That might be a first.

Classic Christmas movie tropes:

  • Building snowmen

  • Christmas market

  • Ice roller skating

  • Kissing under the mistletoe

  • Snowball fight

You’ll like this if…

Again, you’re a sucker for punishment and enjoy these rom-com remakes.

SCORE: 3/10
