Christmas At The Golden Dragon

One last hurrah at the Golden Dragon.

Romy goes “home for the holidays,” to her boyfriend’s family home in Vermont (again with Vermont this season!). She’s never had a “real” Christmas because her parents owned the titular Golden Dragon and served their community on Christmas Day.

In an effort to experience every classic Christmas activity, there is:

  • Vancouver house porn

  • Character named Veronica (ok, not a classic, but this has personal meaning)

  • Snowball fight

  • Decorate gingerbread houses

  • Dickensian costumes

Ultimately it becomes a story of community and - in a rarity for Hallmark - doesn’t end with the restaurant saved after her parents announce the imminent closure.

Questionable cultural sensitivity issues.

SCORE: 3/10
