Serendipity

Can once in a lifetime happen twice? Well yes, if you force it.

  • Beckinsale! Cusack! SATC alumni Moynihan & Corbett! Eugene Levy!!! Honestly a pretty decent cast for the time, in a movie about love at first sight, and then being a total and absolute jerk to the people you’re with in order to find that fateful one again

  • Is it a Christmas movie? Well, Hallmark aired it in the midst of the holiday movies, so, I guess so 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Def’n of serendipity: luck that takes the form of finding valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for. THEY SPEND THE MOVIE LOOKING FOR EACH OTHER.

  • I know Lars is supposed to be a little much, but the cultural appropriation and LGBTQ jokes aren’t great. Movie shows it’s age there for sure.

  • Pour one out for Bridget Moynahan who finds herself in the same position again and again? Serendipity, SATC… art imitating life?

  • The flowing scarves and floating tissue paper in a room filled with burning candles during the Lars proposal scene makes me anxious AF.

Hap-Hap-Happiest Scene:

  • Eugene Levy provides some good comedy and my ultra sweet tooth and I would love to actually go to Serendipity 3

Wait! Why do I recognize that person?

  • Kate Beckinsale - you know her from every man’s fantasy.

SCORE: 5/10

Tell me more!
