Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas (2022)

“A missed call and mistletoe…” yup, that about sums it up, Hallmark

Oh wait, except for the weird stalkerish plotline. Apparently this is the second “Time for him to come home…” movie inspired by a Scotty McCreery song. Who? Oh, you remember…

This movie was released under Hallmark’s sub-banner “Movies & Mysteries” because it’s about a mysterious voicemail Elizabeth receives in error. Flashbacks abound as we discover she’s one of 3 former best friends who fell out of touch a few years prior, but 2 of whom reconnect when home for Christmas celebrating the life of friend #3 who died in a car crash when with Elizabeth? Do you follow?

Seriously, if this was a song I really hope Scotty wrote it linearly, because the flashbacks and figuring out who everyone was… my goodness. Ok, I might be able to partially blame the post-Christmas cheese-induced couch coma I was in when I watched it, but still…

You’ll like this if…

You enjoy watching Hallmark Hawkeye, aka Hallmark Jeremy Renner, aka Tyler Hynes (yeah, I’m lookin’ at you, HB!) and enjoy some light stalking / OCD behaviour.

SCORE: 4/10
