Christmas, yes. But not this movie .
30 seconds in I was audibly giving out the WTFs?!? Which was quickly - thank Rudolph! - revealed to be a super meta take on the consummate romance novel Christmas story of lost loves… “candy cane kisses and mistletoe dreams…” I mean…
Ok. Back to the real deal.
He’s a cynical writer for a fledgling women’s magazine; she writes Christmas romance novels (aside - how niche is this job, and how do I get it?!?) And thrown in for good measure is the high school crush who may or may not be the man she’s dreamt of for the last 10 years.
I honestly don’t know how this movie could have been saved. I strongly suspect that this was one of the super lower budget fillers from last year.
Hard pass on this one if it re-airs this year.
