A Bride for Christmas
Runaway Bride meets How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days at Christmastime
Literally. I’m fairly certain they lifted entire pages of dialogue from those movies, quick copy-paste and called it a script.
Runaway Bride rip-offs:
Jessie has jilted men at the alter 3 times, will Aiden be unlucky #4?
One of her jilted fiancés is a mechanic who proposed at a sports game
Engagement album to rehash past lives, and horrible nicknames from Dad
She proposes to him and pledges that her track record of freaking out is over
Hidden friends and family to surprise the couple when she finally says yes
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days rip-offs:
Aiden has a standing poker game with with his buddies who convince him that he’s not marriage material and make a bet that he can’t get a woman to marry him by Christmas (Seriously - a direct rip-off)
Aiden discounts the vegan office mate as a potential suitor, then celebrates Jessie’s love of burgers!
“And that’s how it’s done” - Who said it Jessie, or Andie Anderson?
Card games with the family
Bonding over a dog
SCORE: 2/10

After Jessie Patterson (Arielle Kebbel) calls off her third engagement - at the altar! - she swears off serious relationships until she finds “the one.” That is, until charming but chronically single Aiden MacTiernan (Andrew Walker) comes along. Unbeknownst to Jessie, Aiden has bet his friends that he can convince a woman to marry him by Christmas - which is only four weeks away - and Jessie is the target of his bet. As Aiden attempts to court Jessie by first hiring her to decorate his apartment, Jessie looks to her sister, roommate and interior design company partner, Vivian (Kimberly Sustad) as her closest confidant. To complicate matters, Jessie is doggedly pursued by her most recent ex-fiancé, Mike (Sage Brocklebank), who still wants to marry her. When Aiden finds himself falling for Jessie too, will he call off the bet and truly pursue her?
Stars Arielle Kebbel & Andrew Walker.
