What happens when they let just anyone record a Christmas album and then turn some of that album into a Hallmark movie? Christmas in Tahoe, that’s what. Or the guy from Train (Pat Monahan) just really likes Hallmark Christmas fare, and really, who could fault him for that?
Claire works for the family hotel and is charged with putting on the annual Christmas Eve variety show; Ryan is her (now) rockstar ex whose band dumped her as their manager years prior.
I actually kind of love the idea of the rock star who goes home for Christmas and is immediately treated like a kid again - forced into the backseat, awkwardly embarrassed by his parents… keeps you humble.
Not a bad movie, it did really well in the Christmas Movie Bingo (see below):
