All Saints Christmas

NOLA!

Lisette is a middle-aged singer who is being overshadowed by a younger upstart. Confusion over a false proposal leads to get going home to NOLA for Christmas with her ex, who might not be an ex for long… because, Hallmark. Obviously.

Lots of traditional Christmas movie fare here:

  • Need to “save” a jazz club

  • Magical snowfall

  • Exes reunite at Christmas

  • Mom’s fruitcake is so boozy, one slice is all you need to get a buzz on ‘til New Year’s

Not the greatest addition to #CountdownToChristmas, but I do like that Hallmark is developing movies that aren’t just “White woman in her late 20s returns to her hometown in Vermont where she reconnects with her high school sweetheart, they bake cookies, save a Christmas play, and live happily ever after in flannel.”

SCORE: 3/10
