A Nashville Christmas Carol
Save a Horse, Ride a Reindeer
A Christmas Carol. With a side of romance, obvs, this is Hallmark. And countrified Christmas carols.
Wynonna Judd in the Jacob Marley role, Kix Brooks as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley as the Ghost of Christmas Present (with an intense southern accent).
Star Jessy Schram (and doppelgänger for Anna Camp of Pitch Perfect fame) was also on Nashville, so this is right in her wheelhouse.
Decent little plot and execution, but I’m starting to wonder if there is any original Christmas movie plot anymore. Seems unlikely.
Hap-Hap-Happiest Scene:
“Wow! It’s you! You have like, four Emmys!” “Five actually, but one is for daytime so we’ll count that as a half.” 😂
Wait! Why do I recognize that person?
Kimberly Williams-Paisley was in: Father of the Bride (1&2), both of them classics.
SCORE: 7/10
