A Nashville Christmas Carol

Save a Horse, Ride a Reindeer

  • A Christmas Carol. With a side of romance, obvs, this is Hallmark. And countrified Christmas carols.

  • Wynonna Judd in the Jacob Marley role, Kix Brooks as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley as the Ghost of Christmas Present (with an intense southern accent).

  • Star Jessy Schram (and doppelgänger for Anna Camp of Pitch Perfect fame) was also on Nashville, so this is right in her wheelhouse.

  • Decent little plot and execution, but I’m starting to wonder if there is any original Christmas movie plot anymore. Seems unlikely.

Hap-Hap-Happiest Scene:

  • “Wow! It’s you! You have like, four Emmys!” “Five actually, but one is for daytime so we’ll count that as a half.” 😂

Wait! Why do I recognize that person?

  • Kimberly Williams-Paisley was in: Father of the Bride (1&2), both of them classics.

SCORE: 7/10
